史上首次 華盛頓網賽由加拿大選手爭冠

美國華盛頓公開賽(Washington Open)3日舉行的男子單打決賽將上演加拿大內戰，由世界排名第七的羅尼奇(Milos Raonic)出戰同胞好手帕斯皮席(Vasek Pospisil)。這是華盛頓公開賽有史以來，首次決賽選手都來自加拿大。
羅尼奇在2日以6比4、7比5擊敗地主選手楊恩(Donald Young)，挺進男單決賽。這是羅奇尼生涯第11次闖進ATP網賽單打決賽。羅尼奇本季溫布頓網賽曾打進男單4強。
至於帕斯皮席，則是以6比7(5/7)、6比3、7比5擊退第六種子法國好手賈斯克(Richard Gasquet)，取得冠軍賽門票。
同樣來自加拿大，24歲的帕斯皮席和23歲的羅奇尼12歲就曾遭遇對方，十多年來，兩人一直就是互相競爭的對象。在去年的蒙特利網賽準決賽，羅奇尼擊敗帕斯皮席，這也是兩人在ATP賽事中唯一一次交手。
