無視平民喪命　美參議院通過67億補助以色列

以色列與巴勒斯坦激進組織哈瑪斯衝突升高25天，奪走逾1500條人命，衝突造成的傷亡已是1967年第三次中東戰爭以來最慘烈，仍看不到戰火停歇的曙光，國際各界呼籲立刻停火之際，美國參議院1日投票一致通過撥款2.25億美元(約67億新台幣)，援助以色列鞏固「鐵穹」(Iron Dome)導彈防禦系統，預期眾議院亦將於夏季休會前通過撥款。以色列進攻加薩以來，「鐵穹」系統多次擊落哈馬斯的火箭。

共和黨議員麥坎(John McCain)表示「我們即將休會5周，對以色列的「鐵穹」(Iron Dome)導彈防禦系統，一定要採取實際行動給予協助」。對於美國議員來說，支持以色列是政治必須的行動，尤其是11月即將舉行國會選舉，以巴動亂之際，更是議員們表現的時候。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
