彭博報導，思科系統（CiscoSystems Inc. ）估第4季營收超越分析師預測，因美國對處理數據傳輸的網路設備訂單需求增溫，補足新興市場銷售下滑。

思科估計，第4季（截至7月）營收將介於120至123億美元，即較上年同期減少1%至3%。分析師估計中值為118億美元。

企業正從事網路升級，以應付由行動裝置和網路影片等占用寬頻的應用所產生更多的資訊流量，帶動路由器和轉換器銷售成長。這種情形補足了企業建置自身網路設備和運用軟體以減少購買機器設備所導致的需求下滑。

擔任思科執行長19年的錢伯斯（John Chambers）在轉交重任給繼承者之前，正尋求扭轉公司營運。
