美國總統歐巴馬在白宮表示，擊落馬航客機的飛彈，發射自烏克蘭叛軍掌控的地區。

歐巴馬表示，至少有一名美國人在客機上，他稱這次事件是全球性悲劇。

他呼籲雙方立即停火，真相終會大白。

他也表示，俄羅斯始終不願降低烏克蘭的緊張情勢。
