35歲的英國女子傑寧·史密斯過去一直生活在壓抑中。外人看來有些傲人的34GG胸圍一直是她最大的心理負擔。『我從來不敢穿比基尼泳衣，買衣服也很困難。甚至有時候我都不想出門，因為我感覺男人們看我的眼神總是很奇怪。』

根據廣州日報報導，傑寧的苦惱在完成縮胸手術後終於結束了。今年早些時候，她在花費了5000多英鎊後，終於將巨乳從34GG縮小到34D。用她的話說，生活從此改變了，『最大的變化就是自信心，現在我也有更多的機會進行戶外活動。我周圍的朋友也多了起來。』她說：『過去我丈夫總是抱怨我，現在我感覺我們的家庭關係更親密了。』

歐美女性近年來已經開始流行縮胸術。英國美容整形外科醫生協會的統計資料顯示，過去一年有4600多位英國女性接受了縮胸手術，比上一年增長了11%。從2006年到2011年，總共有21328位英國女性完成了縮胸手術，其中年齡最小的只有15歲。

專家指出，歐美女性胸圍增大首先與生活方式、食譜等有很大關係，長期攝入高熱量食物會導致女性乳房增大。
