宜蘭子弟陳智郁參加本屆東亞運體操吊環決賽勇奪金牌，宜蘭縣長除林聰賢18日頒獎勉勵，中華民國體操協會理事長暨宜蘭縣體育發展基金會董事長朱壽騫同時頒發2萬獎金以資鼓勵，陳智郁表示，體操運動是一項辛苦的運動，他會再接再厲努力，在2016巴西奧運，爭取最佳成績。
25歲的陳智郁在本屆東亞運體操吊環決賽中以總分15.450分，為台灣添得一面金牌，他是宜蘭縣重點培訓體操選手之一，一路由公正國小、國華國中、羅東高商到國立體育大學陸上運動競技學系進修，曾拿過廣州亞運與深圳世大運銅牌，這次東亞運奪金，也是個人國際賽事中首面金牌，教練及同隊成員皆戲謔：「終於不用再當老三了！」。
陳智郁表示，體操最怕受傷，非常感謝父母親能讓他學習體操，宜蘭縣政府及教練等各界的支持鼓勵令他感激萬分。走過艱辛苦練，換來奪金喜悅，是他最為高興的事。
朱壽騫指出，目前陳智郁在體操吊環項目上的水準有世界排名前8強的實力，期待他在明年亞運再創佳績，更要挑戰2016巴西奧運。
陳智郁父親也是宜蘭縣體操委員會主委陳金汶表示，陳智郁就讀公正國小時，參加縣運在地板、跳馬兩項比賽即拿到6面金牌，激起他對體操的興趣，接著參加國內外各項比賽，一路走來相當辛苦，能在本屆東亞運獲得金牌實在不容易。
林聰賢縣長指出，在分享宜蘭子弟奪金欣喜之餘，為培育、支持優秀選手，縣府已尋求各大企業的支助，成立宜蘭縣體育發展基金會，希望讓選手無後顧之憂，例如杏輝藥品公司就相當支持，可望於近期簽約，共同推展宜蘭縣各項運動。
