NBA：加拿大多倫多將承辦2016全明星賽

美國職業籃球聯盟(NBA)9月30日宣布，加拿大多倫多獲選為NBA的2016年全明星賽舉行地點，這將是NBA明星賽首度在美國本土以外的地方進行。

NBA副執行長席佛(Adam Silver)說，多倫多獲選為全明星賽舉行地點，大家非常興奮，這是全明星賽首次在多倫多舉行。

NBA的2016全明星賽預定該年2月14日在多倫多暴龍隊(Toronto Raptors)主場加拿大航空中心(Air Canada Centre)開打；加拿大航空中心同時也是國家冰球聯盟(National Hockey League)多倫多楓葉隊(Toronto Maple Leafs)的主場。

多倫多曾經在1946年11月1日，首度舉行美國籃球協會(Basketball Association of America)賽事，當時多倫多哈士奇隊(Toronto Huskies)在楓葉花園(Maple Leaf Gardens)敗給前往踢館的紐約燈籠褲隊(New York Knickerbocker)。

美國籃球協會是NBA的前身。NBA的2015-16球季適逢暴龍隊成軍20週年。
