中華電召開法人說明會，公布第2季財報，合併營收558.4億元，較去年同期成長2.6%，歸屬母公司業主淨利106.4億元，較去年同期減少7%，每股稅後淨利1.37元；法人關心4G執照競標情況，董事長李炎松強調4G志在必得；因應4G的建設，預估明年將出現資本支出高峰。
目前有7家業者競標4G，且都通過第一次的審查，正式競價將自9月3日展開，總經理石木標指出，最慢可在11月底前底定，已籌組戰情準備室，因應最長可能超過1個月的競標作業時間，董事長李炎松強調對4G志在必得，所有頻譜都是考慮標的。
石木標表示，1800MHz(兆赫)設備成熟，比較能與國際接軌，因此將是各業者的首要目標，競爭會相當激烈，雖然4G的底價是359億元，但預估整體標金可能超過500億元。
中華電公布第2季合併營運成果，合併營收558.4億元，累計上半年合併營收1124.5億元，達成全年財務預測51.6%；累計上半年歸屬於母公司業主淨利為198.4億元，達成全年測務預測52.8%。
李炎松表示，今年第2季在各主要成長業務的營收與市占率維持領先地位。行動數據方案與中低階智慧型手機的積極推廣，不僅成功地吸引新客戶，也有效地鼓勵客戶使用數據服務。截至6月底，行動上網客戶數達317萬，相關市占率提高至33.5%，持續為行動上網市場的領導者。 (接下一頁)
