遠征哥倫比亞的台灣世運代表團，終於進入比賽封關日，滑輪溜冰再度進帳獎牌，男女選手楊合貞、廖彥勝各奪1金，總計台灣在卡利拿下5金。
楊合貞就讀台南大學體育系，去年參加義大利世錦賽曾因對手推擠摔傷造成腦震盪，但仍撐完6天的賽程，奪下3面銀牌，5日的世運賽程上，率先於20,000公尺淘汰賽勇奪金牌，黃郁婷在同項目拿下銅牌。
廖彥勝是2012年亞錦賽雙金得主，也曾於歐洲巡迴賽奪冠，出身自溜冰國手大本營的中南部，他這次在世運10,000公尺公路積分賽奪下金牌。
本次賽會滑輪溜冰公路積分賽原為邀請賽，因大會今早已列入獎牌統計，所以台灣共拿下5金5銀8銅，在85個參賽國中排名第十。
