勵馨在會中更進一步指出，有些亞洲女孩人權運動的夥伴，對促進婦女和女孩人權所付出的代價是超過我們所想像的！2012年，參加亞洲女孩人權運動夥伴 SAWERA的年輕創始人之一，巴基斯坦的Farida Afridi被極端分子槍殺。去年， SAWERA的辦公室被炸毀。然而，SAWERA的員工們仍繼續戰鬥工作，同時也呼籲海外的幫助。本月的國際婦女節，SAWERA在愛爾蘭獲得前線捍衛者獎（Front Line Defenders Awards），他們奉獻精神的確值得被肯定！
此次平行會議講者之一、醒覺女孩（Aware girls）的創始人—巴基斯坦的Gulalai Ismail，在SAWERA同一個地區工作，被迫多次搬遷辦公室。她說，在巴基斯坦北部，不到23 ％女孩可以識字（以能寫自己的名字為定義）。她雖然遇到種種困難與反對，但仍然勇敢地為女孩權利發聲。2013年，她贏得民主獎（Democracy Award 2013）和外交政策雜誌（Foreign Policy Magazine）評選她為全球的思想家之一(Global Thinker)。Gulalai出生於人權倡議者的家庭，所以從小就閱讀兒童權利公約（CRC）和消除對婦女一切形式歧視公約（CEDAW）。其他夥伴雖然並不一定面對生命的威脅，但他們對努力轉化社會，提升女孩人權是一樣的重要。在柬埔寨的SALT 學院，女孩不僅被訓練成為首批國家女子足球隊，也讓她們免受人口販賣，並且，可以成為教練培訓指導其他女孩。
第一場平行會議主題為「提升亞洲女孩人權：釋放亞洲女孩力量減少性別差異」，共有5位講者包括：Shulamith Koenig，美國的人民學習人權運動( People's Movement for Human Rights Learning, PDHRE)創辦者，也是聯合國人權獎的獲獎人；葉南君，台灣勵馨基金會國際專員；Gulalai Ismail，巴基斯坦的醒覺女孩(Aware Girls)主席；Undrakh Chinchuluun,蒙古的保護女孩與年輕女性權力的公主中心 (PRINCESS Center for the Protection of Girls and Young Women's Rights)執行長，以及Rowena Legaspi，菲律賓的孩童法律權利與發展中心(Children's Legal Rights and Development Center)主席。
第二場平行會議主題為「亞洲女孩改變世界」，著重於被充權的女孩，以及她們如何改變世界。這些故事證明被充權的女孩可以改變她們以及其他人的人權。該研討會也討論到女孩愈早被充權，將會有更大的影響力！講者包括Chu Thi Thu Hoai, 越南的法律系學生/ CSAGA會員; Erdenetsetseg Erdenedondog,蒙古的保護女孩與年輕女性權力的公主中心 (PRINCESS Center for the Protection of Girls and Young Women's Rights)發展主任; Gulalai Ismail, 巴基斯坦的醒覺女孩(Aware Girls)主席; Mitchel Wu, 美國的亞裔美國孩童與家庭聯盟(CACF)的亞裔美國學生倡議計畫(The Asian American Student Advocacy Project, ASAP)計畫經理; Ying Yu Situ,美國的亞裔美國孩童與家庭聯盟(CACF)的亞裔美國學生倡議計畫(ASAP) 會員; 李雪瑩，台灣的勵馨基金會國際專員；以及Shulamith Koenig, 美國的人民學習人權運動( People's Movement for Human Rights Learning, PDHRE)創辦者。
合作團體包括泛太平洋和東南亞婦女協會（Pan-Pacific & South-East Asia Women's Association, PPSEAWA），以及亞裔美國孩童與家庭聯盟（Coalition of Asian American Children and Families， CACF）。
